May 2009, Time to hit the road again, Mum, Dad and me are going to Europe again travelling from Vancouver to Amsterdam. Dad booked us into the Fairmont hotel at the airport in Vancouver as this would make it easier to travel with my box. We stayed there for one night and the staff were very nice and made my usual Ice lolly in a bucket, so I would have something to drink on the way.
About 4 hours before the flight we collected the box from the baggage room at the hotel and went to the KLM service counter to get my box and paperwork ready, they were very happy to see me and it took no time at all to get my Passport copied and fill in the forms. One of the staff, Neda recognised me from when I travelled before, and dropped Mum of, so she made sure everything was in order.
About an hour and a half before take off Mum put me in the box after I had played with a Portuguese water dog who was also travelling on the same flight.
Mum collected me at Schiphol from the oversize baggage area and now I am back in Holland, I even have my Dog Tax token on my collar, so I am all legal. One thing I am going to miss is meeting my new offspring, Daisy and I are going to have some puppies and they will be born when I am away in Holland.
I realised when I got back to my Dutch home that exercise isn't really a problem here, I have to got up and down four flights of stairs to check up on everyone, bit like running to the chicken house and back at my Canadian home. And here I am allowed into the restaurants and bars, although when we were in Vancouver we went into the Flying Beaver Pub, maybe because I charmed the pants of all the waitresses there, at least I stayed with mum and Dad for that diner.
